Same-Day Physicals

Similar to same-day sick visits, we also offer same-day physicals. We are capable of performing school, camp, and sports physicals to ensure that your children are in tip-top shape for necessary events and activities.

Physicals are done at various ages. During infancy, the main focus is on your child’s dietary habits, bowel movements, sleep, growth & development, immunizations, family transitions and more.

During toddler and early school years, we discuss their tantrums, parallel play, potty training, sibling rivalry, growth & nutrition, immunizations and much more.

During elementary school and before high school a lot of focus is placed on good habits from nutrition to school performance, proper growth, and adjustments to their changing body image, otherwise known as puberty.

All children should have a screening for vision, hearing, and urine (protein, blood) after the age of 3. Many children get their vaccinations for meningitis and tetanus at 11 or 12 yrs. old. Many parents choose to give the new Gardasil vaccination at this time to their daughters.

During high school, these young adults are counseled on college goals, school success & problems, relationships, exposure to drugs & alcohol, and much more.

If your child is dealing with any chronic illness, then it is our duty to make sure they approach college with a good understanding on how to successfully manage that problem (i.e. asthma).

To keep your children healthy, it is important to bring them in for regular checkups. We recommend that you call 1-2 weeks in advance so you may choose a date that best fits your needs.

We welcome patients who have other primary care physicians when your doctor is unavailable.
